Happy 3 day weekend

I can't believe it is final Labor Day weekend. I love 3 day weekends. There are way to few of them. I just want to share a couple of really great projects that have been in the works lately. The first one is by my dear friend Kathy a wonderful talented crafter who takes our designs and just makes the most awesome creations. This is from our Castle Creation collection. Kathy has taken and made this huge so her little boy can actually play with it. She isn't quite finished with it but I just had to share a picture of the progress.

When completed her little boy will be able to have his own magical adventures. This was done by painting a back ground on sheet metal and laminating the characters and attaching magnets so he can play. Isn't this awesome.

2ndly my mom is the school librarian at Desert Chapel. Every year she does an awesome bulletin board and this year was Cat in the Hat. I cut the Cat in the Hat in pieces and once he was assembled he was 3 feet tall. I am personally quite proud of this, as it was the largest project I had ever cut.

I decided to create a cute little back pack that would be awesome to put special treats in.  This pattern is super easy to assemble, and can be decorated any way you like.  Create them for a super first day back to school surprise for you child's class.  Give them some markers and pens and let them decorate any way that want to.

It's another Happy Friday

First off Happy Friday it is my very favorite day of the week especially near 4 pm. 

I just want to let everyone know, the Papyrus Jungle store is down for a few days.  When we were trying to upgrade it,  poof some files got corrupted and now we have to start from scratch.  The great thing is with the upgrade there are a lot of new wonder features. 

Also if you go to Main Street Arts and Crafts you will see a new addition to our Street.  I really want to give a super warm welcome To Tyler and Nicki and their wonderful store All That Jazz Supplies
They go above and beyond the duty of supplying wonderful supplies for all of us crafters.  I have ordered 3 times and 1 I am amazed at how it gets from one coast to the other in a couple of days. 2.  How well it is packed, and 3. The quality of the materials they sell.  It is beyond amazing.  I have ordered some of the most awesome leather paper, and textured paper, and foils, and his chipboard are to die for.  It all cuts like butter.  Tyler and Nicki think about quality all the time.

I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend. I know I am.  I won't be giving away a free pattern for the next 2 weeks, because if you go Black Cat USA they are having a huge Christmas in July Challenge.  Right now there are 32 wonderful projects to complete.  This is the first challenge I have ever actually participated in as a crafter.  It is awesome.  I love seeing how everyone completes each challenge.

Paper Dolls Challenge

I sure hope everyone is enjoying a love 3 day weekend.  I know I am. It is very rare to get 3 days off in a row.

Well the exciting news of the week is,  Tomorrow on 4th of July, The Paper dolls



are having a wonderful challenge using one of the designs created by RJ and me.  I am excited, and hope you all can join in the fun. 

And then starting on the 8th of July,  at the Black Cat US forum,  is the huge Christmas in July Challenge.  Christy has been working really hard to get everything organized (I really don't know how she does it).  So make sure you go sign up there also and join  in the fun.  I have.

All That Jazz Supplies

I can't say enough about this site. I ordered some really cool supplies from Tyler on Friday. Do you know within 5 minutes I had an email stating is was ready to ship. And I got it today. Now this is the postal service's fault. They even admitted it was there mistake. I would have had it on Monday. It was packed so nice to begin with. I ordered some of the leather paper. Which when you feel it, it really feels like leather, and I order some of the Animal Hide Paper, The texture is so awesome. These 2 items don't feel like paper at all. Gosh I don't know if I want to cut them they are so pretty.
Then I also ordered some of the foiling sheets. Well I had gotten some from Michaels. Don't waste the money. This foil sheets are so much better, Almost like very thin metal. Seriously, I know they will cut well, Tyler has done that for me already.

Check out his store you won't regret it. Great service, and the best prices for such high quality materials. You would never find this stuff in any craft store.

Boy has it been so busy.  And the weather eesh, I guess summer is really here.  Today I would like to showcase someone very special to me.  Valerie Summers, yes I am very biased she is my 22 year old daughter, my pride and joy.  She has taken up photography and has started her own blog

She has a really unique view on photos and she is the official photographer for Papyrus Jungle, and loves to think outside the box.

Valerie's goal this year is to commit to shooting a photo a day for the next year.  I love what she has done so far and her ideas.  Check out her blog and follow it.  It will be really interesting.
