About Papyrus Jungle

Hi, welcome to my blog.  I have been crafting one way or another for over 25 years. I started with counted cross stitch and have moved on to every other known craft there is.  Honestly after all these years I have 2 favorite mediums,  paper crafting, and tole painting, which to me is really great because they kind of go hand in hand when working on projects.  The best part is now working with paper I get to be in the house instead of the garage working on my projects.

I started working with paper like most everyone else, with a Cricut expression, but from the first day I knew I wasn't a cartridge type person, so I purchased my first 3rd party software.  I was  hooked.  The freedom to create patterns and projects is out of this world.  Well very soon I knew I wanted to do more, so I took the plunge and purchased a Black Cat Cougar cutting machine.  I have never looked back.  This is an awesome machine, that will cut just about anything you can imagine. And when you combine it with Make The Cut software you can accomplish pretty much anything you want.

About a year after I had purchased my Cougar I met RJ Ogren through another site.  When things didn't work out we decided to become a team.  RJ is a former Disney artist ,  he sketches our designs and I create the svg files.  We both knew we could make this something really great, and after talking we came up with Main Street Arts and Crafts.  This is a great community we are building, offering stores for all types of craft vendors. We also are starting a Tutorial Tech School that will offer tutorials for different mediums of crafting, a General Store to purchase your favorite crafting supplies, and a Gift Shop for those that love crafts but just may not have the time or desire to craft.

Everyday to me is an adventure, I have been married to a wonderful man for over 25 years, and we have a great daughter who just turned 22.  Then of course their are all our four footed babies, 2 dogs, 4 cats, and then their is Peeps a baby pigeon we rescued.  Life is never quiet around here and we tend to like it that way.  Always try to look forward and keep your eyes on "HIM" and I don't think you can ever go wrong.  Sometimes things don't turn out how we like,  but HE always has control and takes us down the best path possible.  My favorite verse that can apply to anyone,  Jeremiah 33:3, "Call upon me and I will answer you and show you many things you don't not know.  How can I go wrong with that.
